With Artemis objectives, NASA will land the first woman and first individual of color on the Moon, utilizing ingenious technologies to discover more of the lunar surface than ever previously. Then, we will use what we learn on and at the Moon to take the following giant jump: sending the first astronauts to Mars. NASA's effective new rocket, the Space Launch System, readied to launch from Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL, will send out astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft almost a quarter-million miles from Earth to lunar orbit. Astronauts will dock Orion at the Gateway and move to a human touchdown system for explorations to the surface area of the Moon.
