Legoshi has an imposing appearance WIth how tall he is and how he tends to hunch over. Most of his body is covered by a bluish-gray fur coat while his face, neck, and chest fur have cream color. Legoshi is most commonly seen wearing his Cherryton Academy School uniform, which in cold seasons consists of a white shirt, indigo vest, dark gray tie, gray pants with darker vertical line pattern, and brown loafers. During summer, he wears a blue polo shirt, replacing uniform shirt, vest and tie. It is later revealed that Legoshi has some slightly atypical characteristics due to his ancestry. In spite of this, he mostly resembles the common pure-blood gray wolf, though certain features that he inherited from his grandfather, such as his facial structure, eyes, and mannerisms, are visible. Before becoming a teenager, Legoshi used to have large irises. As the series progress, Legoshi's appearance changes slightly; some changes are temporary while others are permanent.

Legoshi is a soft-spoken, humble, and polite gray wolf with a kind heart and gentle personality, which contrasts his frightening appearance. He often try to hide his more terrifying features, such as his fangs, to better acquaint himself with his herbivore peers. Legoshi is very conscious of his own presence and often does what he can to downplay himself. This can be seen in his postures and mannerisms as he often slouches when standing or sitting. At the beginning of the series, Legoshi was an outcast who generally avoided attention and interaction with other individuals. This led to him becoming a socially awkward individual. Behind his deadpan demeanor and facade, lies a considerable amount of self-loathing. For years, his self-awareness as large carnivore and knowledge of his familial nature made him feel isolated from others and made him choose to keep to himself. Consequently, this makes him underestimate his own value, crippling his self-esteem. Despite this, Legoshi is quite capable of being very imposing and assertive when situation call for it. He is quite gift physically, with a lean build and jaw strength of 295 kg, which is 95 kg higher than average for his species. Although he is rather naive and air head, he is also quite stubborn and impulsive in regard to his own convictions, even in the face of confrontation. Legoshi, despite being awkward and unable to read the atmosphere often, has demonstrated a great level of maturity compared to his peers when talking to others and is very patient. Legoshi is a considerably egalitarian and empathetic individual. He treats others with the same amount of respect and doesn't display any form of bigotry towards anyone, regardless of their creed. He often tries to understand the struggles of other animals, even his enemies such as Riz, who uses honey to numb his headache-inducing strength reduction medications. Legoshi has a fixation for Haru, small white dwarf rabbit who also attends Cherryton, but he often struggles to understand these feelings, not knowing if they were born out of genuine love for Haru or his subconscious / instinctual desire to eat her. Even so, he strives to suppress his predatory desires to live a normal life. Legoshi also holds great respect and admiration for his fellow wolf Juno, who embraces who and what she is, which inspires him to slowly do the same. As the series progress, Legoshi begins to slowly accept himself as a carnivorous gray wolf and develop more confidence in himself as he better understands the world around him. Legoshi becomes a much more sociable ambient who generally enjoys being around other people but also likes his own company at times as well.

In world of humanoid animals, carnivores and herbivores share society where both sides strain against their natures. Herbivores must contain their constant fear of carnivores and struggle with their natural weaknesses, while carnivores must resist their violent impulses. Despite prejudicial tension constantly bubbling under the surface, laws, and taboos help both subcultures coexist. That is, until student at Cherryton Academy, alpaca named Tem, is found deadmauled by carnivore. And most have already pictured the prime suspect: Legosi, wolf with a menacing appearance that belies his kind heart and meek demeanor. Fuel by a sense of justice and a desire to prove himself, Legosi makes it his mission to expose the true killer, only to find not only his worldview changing but his relationship with both subcultures. In addition, his face is modelled after the French movie actor Mathieu Amalric, while his figure is based on the Japanese actor, Kenichi Matsuyama. Chapter 16 incorrectly lists Legoshi's birthday as April 11 on his student ID card. In Volume 1 omake, Chapter 98, Chapter 120, and Episode 1, his birthday is consistently listed as April 9. Itagaki has also celebrated his birthday on April 9 on Twitter. Legoshi self-admit that he had never had a crush on anyone prior to meeting Haru. Due to his lineage, Legoshi has immunity to the effects of Komodo dragon venom. Along with his immunity to Komodo dragon venom, Legoshi also inherits his grandfather's tolerance of pain, general mannerisms, and supposedly his attraction to animals of other species. To Legoshi's own surprise, having Komodo dragon venom enter his body allowed him to regrow his teeth. Minor bit of regeneration factor. Before the localization of Beastars to the West, many fan works and translations translated Legoshi's name as Legosi. Since then, however, it has been officially established via release of Beastars related Media by VIZ Media that the correct spelling of his name is Legoshi. Juno's name could possibly derive from the Roman goddess, wife of Jupiter and known as protectress of women and marriage, which refers to her romantic nature and how quickly she falls in love with boys. It can also be rendered in kanji as, which means you live long or long pearl. Depictions of Roman goddess Juno always show her with a cloak made out of wolf's fur. Juno is the only main character in the series whose family isn't mentioned or explore. Although she competed for the Beastar title, she eventually gave up on it, seeing that there was no competition for Louis. In exclusive omakes, Paru Itagaki has written that Juno was created as foil to Haru, and was given more traditional traits of beauty. She, however, finds this direction uninteresting until Juno takes action in Chapter 31, which was when Itagaki starts to love her character. Her looks are inspired by young Winona Ryder. Itagaki wrote in Volume 4, Chapter 34. 5 omake that she has the sweet eyes of a child, but she's got iron will.

Beastars has become a cult classic among anime fans that have experienced anthropomorphic world of predators and prey, having released on Netflix earlier this year, and the streaming service has just released a clip that spotlights varying dubs of one particular scene from the series. Anime itself follows Wolf with anxiety name Legosi and his pursuit of a horny rabbit named Haru as they attend their high school while simultaneously being drag into both a murder mystery and a black market that captures prey off the street and fees them to predators in secret! The relationship between Legosi and Haru was definitely one of the most interesting parts of the anime's first season, and with the second season already confirm, we're sure to see that bond further develop following Wolf managing to save his rabbit crush from a gaggle of lions looking for a quick bite. In this world, predators eating prey is frowned upon and most assuredly against the law, opening up a path for the black market to swing open its doors and sell blood, meat, and various other things that predators would otherwise never have access to. With Legosi struggling against his predatory nature as he courts Haru, it makes for an interesting parallel to an anime series that has become a hit on Netflix! Netflix shared this hilarious clip that sees Legosi struggling with how to talk to his crush Haru, with the streaming service giving us look into different dubs from countries such as the United States, Japan, France, Germany, Mexcio, and many others that prove voice actors give it their all regardless of their geography: release date for season two of Beastars has yet to be reveal, though anime will return in 2021, and with identity of killer on campus still being mystery following first season's finale, there are sure to be more than few fans returning to see where series go from here on Netflix. In what language do you watch Beastars? Who do you think is the killer stalking campus in this anime hit? Feel free to let us know in comments or hit me up directly on Twitter EVComedy to talk about all things comics, anime, and the world of anthropomorphic high schoolers!
