Cincinnati, Today, the U. S. Department of Energy provided a Final Request for Proposals for the CTAC purchase. The primary objective of this contract is to provide technological aid in the areas of quality control, job management, engineering and technical evaluations and analyses, Capital Asset Projects oversight, nuclear safety, WIPP website oversight, administrative and organization operations, environmental compliance, commercial hygiene and industrial safety and security, TRU waste qualification, Central Characterization Program, and scientific tasks. The CTAC contract is expected to be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with an approximated contract ceiling of $100M over a 5-year purchasing period, which includes the issuance of job orders that will not go beyond five years past completion of the contract ordering period. DOE anticipates to work out a choice prolonging the incumbent contract by up to 6 months. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item or service making use of FAR Part 12.
