NOAA and Boeing are collaborating to evaluate the most effective placement for a NOAA greenhouse gas tasting system on a commercial jet by screening options on a new Boeing 737 as part of Boeing's 2021 ecoDemonstrator flying test bed program. The job involves two primary areas of effort: the geologic and engineering evaluation of the Eileen gas-hydrate build-up and assistance of DOE and its industry partners in reviewing, preparation, and planning for exploration and screening gas hydrate research wells in northern Alaska.
