Griseofulvin is an antibiotic stemmed from a species of Penicillium. Each 5 mL of Griseofulvin Oral Suspension, USP includes 125 mg of griseofulvin and has alcohol, docusate sodium, FD&C Red No. 40, FD&C Yellow No. 6, magnesium light weight aluminum silicate, menthol, methylparaben, orange lotion tastes, propylene glycol, propylparaben, detoxified water, saccharin salt, simethicone solution, salt alginate and sucrose. Griseofulvin may be used for objectives not provided in this medicine overview. Taking griseofulvin during the first 3 months of pregnancy may harm the unborn infant. Griseofulvin can make contraceptive pill less effective. Ask your physician about using a non-hormonal contraception to stop maternity. Your medical professional may sometimes change your dose as your infection enhances. While treating a fungal skin or nail infection, keep the skin areas as completely dry and clean as possible. It is used to treat fungus infections of the body, feet, groin and thighs, scalp, skin, finger nails, and toe nails.
