Blender development has continued since that day run by team of far-flung dedicated volunteers from around world led by Blenders ' original creator, Ton Roosendaal. With Blender originating as in-house creation tool, day-to-day feedback and interaction of both developing and using software was one of its most outstanding features. Instead of getting funding to bring together software developers, Blender Foundation decided to start Project to bring together most outstanding artists in Blender community and challenge them to make exciting 3D animation Movie short.
