KVDU-TV is Fox television station in Amarillo, Texas. Station Is Owned By Fox Television Stations, Subsidiary Of 21 Century Fox, As Part Of Duopoly With MyNetworkTV Own-and-operate Station KAMY-TV. Two stations share studios on Street in Amarillo with transmitter facilities located north of Amarillo in unincorporated Potter County. It broadcast on Channel 7. Syndicate programming on which include: Live! With Kelly and Ryan, Family Real, Simpsons, and Modern Family among others. In 1958, station created SuperStar 7 Logo as it was one of first stations in city to have SuperStar Logo, It was retired in 1997 and changed to former Circle 7 Logo. Station was ABC affiliate at sign-on right until January 1 2015. Station Is Rebroadcast On Translators Throughout Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma Panhandle, And Eastern New Mexico.

KVDU sign on air on November 14 1956 and signed on as ABC affiliate. Own by KVDU, Inc., KVDU struggled during 1950s and 1960s as ABC affiliate. KVDU find themselves finishing almost near bottom of Amarillo market. Finishing behind DuMont affiliate KFLF. KVDU's luck finally in 1975 when ABC become no. 1 station in nation, where they remained until 1985, when KRLO became no. 1 station in market. KVDU will remain with ABC up until late 2014 when fictional TV station realignment occur. KVDU then switched affiliations with KDIM and KDWX to become Amarillo's FOX and has remained with FOX since January 1 2015. Three months KVDU became FOX O & O station. It was sold to Galaxy Broadcasting July 12 2016. On April 19 2017, KVDU returned to being O & O station.
