Malkocoglu Cem Sultan is a Turkish action film by Remzi Aydn Jonturk. It is of numerous collaborations between famous actor Cuneyt Arkn and Jonturk. Film belongs to the wave of historical films Turkish cinema. The film is about the comic character of Ayhan Basoglu, Malkocoglu. The film shot simultaneously in Turkish and in Persian. The Iranian version was released as Serzemin-e in 1971. The main features of the have a real historical basis as Malkocoglu was regarded as one of the loyal Aknc families of the Ottoman Empire. The film is a dramatization of Basoglu's comic of the same name and tells the story of the life struggle of Cem Sultan and how Akncs helped him. The leader of Aknc troops, Malkocoglu, trusted peasant, Polat, and accepted him into his army and gave him mission to safely guide Cem Sultan to Frenk allies. Cuneyt Arkn portrays two in the film, as part of his trademark style.
