Mark Wadlow has been a member of Coronation Street script-writing team since 1993 and has contributed 376 scripts to date, including one episode co-credit with Joe Turner and five double episodes co-credit with Damon Rochefort, Jayne Hollinson, Mark Burt and Martin Allen. He was born in 1963 in Middlesbrough and attended Leeds University in 1982, where he met fellow student Peter Morgan. Morgan had ambitions to be an actor but a bad case of stage fright caused him to team up with Wadlow and the two of them wrote play entitle Gross based on Wadlow's experience of a summer job in a call centre, which brought them to the attention of training video company producer when it was stag at Edinburgh fringe. They worked on such productions for the next few years and then moved to films with work on John Schlesinger's movie Madame Sousatzka in 1989. They also work on Dear Rosie and Secret Touch. Wadlow and Morgan then split up their partnership and Wadlow moved into television writing with Coronation Street being among his first work for the media. He has also written for Robin Hood, Holding Baby and Bad Girls. Wadlow remains fiercely proud of his Middlesbrough roots and uses any opportunity he can to insert references to his home town into his work, including many passing mentions in his Coronation Street scripts. He currently lives in Shropshire.

But he rapidly started to shoot up, reaching an incredible 1. 63 m by the age of five, by which time he was already wearing clothes intended for teenagers. The only admissible evidence upon true height of giants is that of recent date made under impartial Medical supervision. These were words of Norris and Ross McWhirter, founders of Guinness World Records, in 1955. They go on to dismiss claims for legendary giants such as biblical Og, King of Bashan, citing confusion of units. The Twins then name Robert Wadlow as the tallest man of whom there is irrefutable evidence. When last measured on 27 June 1940, mild-mannered American stretched a staggering 2. 72 m tall. Perhaps surprisingly, Robert enters the world no differently to most babies. He was born on 22 February 1918 to two regular-sized parents, weighing an unremarkable 3.
