Mixtapes feature on this album are House Of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes Of Silence. In September 2012, Abel signed with Republic Records in joint venue with his own XO imprint. To release the album, Weeknd had to clear a few samples. He managed to clear the Beach House sample on Party & After Party and Siouxsie and Banshees sample on House Of Balloons / Glass Table Girls, but he did not manage to clear Aaliyahs Rock Boat sample on What You Need, so the intro For that track was alter. On October 3rd 2012, Weeknd released the official video For Rolling Stone to promote the release of the album. The Trilogys cover art is actually a still image taken from that video. Along with the video, Abel wrote an open letter to his fans. Regarding Song, he say: few weeks later, on October 18 2012, Abel released the official video for the album's first official single, Wicked Games. Shortly before Trilogys official release, on November 8 2012, he released the official video For Zone, featuring fellow Toronto artist Drake. Yes. It is a remastered compilation of Weeknds 3 mixtapes: House Of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes Of Silence. Alongside these tracks, there are also 3 added songs tracks 10 20, and 30: Twenty Eight, Valerie, and Til Dawn. There is a pattern to arrangement. Each mixtape has 9 remastered tracks, followed by one additional track, to make a 30 track album.

Justin Bieber may get more headlines, but in the past year, the even more talented Canadian singer has left his own trail of broken hearts. Abel Tesfaye, under the name Weeknd, released three mixtapes in 2011 and made a significant impression on the R & B world. First come well-receive House of Balloons, whose amalgamation of jarring, synthesize melodies and echo-like vocals reveal Weeknds daring genre-mixing style. Thursday and Echoes of Silence follow to similarly positive reception, with Echoes of Silence especially praise for vocal emotion felt in songs such as DD, charge rendition of Michael Jacksons ' Dirty Diana, and Outside, sultry reminder of the discordance between want and need. Today, Weeknd will be releasing his debut album Trilogy. The album will include remastered versions of all three mixtapes as well as three new songs that further expose the ugly side of Love. Weeknd knows how to set a moodwhether, it is through the steady pulse of electronic bass drum or the high, lofty tones of his voice, he creates an atmosphere of heartbreak and longing. Factor in lyrics of sex, betrayal, and lose romance, and darker facets of love are poignantly expose. In Montreal, originally from Echoes of Silence, Weeknd combines French and English lyrics with oscillating synthesizers to detail the hurt of past love and the lonely fleetingness of present affairs. He sang Oui jai pleure mais ce jour-la / Non, je ne pleurerai pas. It is a concert, depressed effort to protect once-battered heart. Weeknd continues to dismantle love archetype in Valerie, one of his new songs. Lies and deceit are points of focus, as he sing, Cause I Love you and I need you / I only want you / and nobody is going to know if it is true. Grating, electronic snare rumbles intermittently interrupt gentle hi-hat groove and feather-Light keyboard, creating an instrumental representation of conflicting lies he tells and the truth Valerie chooses to believe. Relationship is exposed as fraud, as he details his adultery and Valeries willful ignorance, all because youd rather this than be alone. The Trilogy is a welcome re-exposure to Weeknds take on relationships. While he presents a seemingly depressing and unhopeful portrayal of Love, his lyrics and unique instrumentals provide refreshing, unrepentant critique of classically extol emotion.

Abel Tesfaye, aka Weeknd, released three free mixtapes, aka albums, in 2011. Trilogy compile them with remastered sound and add three new songs. Support by fellow Toronto native Drake, Tesfaye surfaced that March with House of Balloons, impressive debut that merges his paradoxical approach-sweet voice, poisonous words-with gloomy but entrancing productions, most of which were provided by Illangelo and Doc McKinney. Duo produced the entirety of Thursday, released that August. It offers minor variations on the debut's themes of getting laid and high through plodding, thudding scenes of bleak malevolence. Anyone not magnetize to extend periods of intense wallowing and / or chemically-induce lethargy-or idea of experiencing either one of two states-could discern that Tesfaye could have used editor. And then, in December, just after Drake released Take Care, album featuring a handful of Tesfaye collaborations, Echoes of Silence completed the Weeknd trilogy in equally excessive fashion. Embolden by critical acclaim and enthusiastic fan base, Tesfaye lead set, produced mostly by Illangelo, with cover of Dirty Diana, Michael Jackson's unintentionally comical groupie nightmare. Tesfaye not only matched the original's intensity but went so on top with it that the top was no longer visible. He also continues to find slightly different, occasionally peculiar ways of expressing unapologetically sordid feelings about drugs, partying, drugs, bad girls, drugs, strippers, drugs, good girls going bad, and drugs-all of which serve identical purpose and get the same level of consideration, though put that rum down, You don't wanna die tonight is at least somewhat thoughtful. There are points throughout these works where Tesfaye is distinctively gripping, supplying deadly hooks and somehow singing for his life despite cold blood flowing through his veins. More often, he needs restraint, as he is prone to repetitious whining that is more young boy than young Keith Sweat. Now that he's with label, he'll hopefully get some kind of filter that enables him to fulfill the promise heard in these 160 minutes of one-dimensional, occasionally exhilarating overindulgence. When this package was release, he was gaining mainstream momentum with appearances on Drake's crew Love and Wiz Khalifa's Remember You. His potential is as obvious as his lyrics are toxic.
